A day of organized walking in company along the founding stage of the ‘Cammino di Guglielmo’, for the 14th year. We invite you to discover the green Irpinia, in Campania, Southern Italy.

Sunday 1st June 2025. Walking in company, from Laceno to Goleto along the ‘Stage 5’ (14th year): as part of the 2nd Forum of historical-religious walks.

8:00 am Departure of the shuttle bus (50 seats) from the Abbey of Goleto to Laceno.
9:00 am After the visit to the Grotto of S. Guglielmo, departure on foot along the ‘Stage 5’ of the ‘Cammino di Guglielmo’ for the 14th year.
A day of walking in company, from the Grotta dell’Apparizione on Lake Laceno (Bagnoli Irpino) along mountain paths to the Fontigliano area (Nusco), where a picnic breakfast is planned; you will then reach the Goleto Abbey.
Upon arrival, around 4:30 pm: ‘Blessing of the pilgrims’ given by D. Giovanni Maria Gargiulo; followed by an independent visit to the abbey and a small breakfast in the vegetable garden.
It will be possible to collect the ‘CREDENTIAL of the Walk’ and, upon arrival, receive the first ‘stamp’.
Accessible walk: 24 km. _70% dirt paths / 30% asphalted inter-farm roads. Picnic breakfast (independent). Fountains: halfway along the route, in the Fontigliano area and upon arrival.
We recommend trekking poles and shoes + shoes for asphalt.
Reservations for the shuttle bus will be collected during the second day of the Forum: Saturday, May 31st.
For those coming from Avellino, it is preferable to leave the cars directly at Laceno; at the end of the day there will be car transfers from Goleto to Laceno to pick them up.
